Barbara always thought of Ethan as her little brother's annoying best friend, and she was sure he just considered her his friend's nerdy big sister. Until the hot night after her brother's wedding. Alone in the heat, it's clear Ethan sees her in a way she never saw herself: as a sexy, sensual woman. And for the first time, Barbara feels ready to break free from the painful memories that have haunted her for too long—by exploring her passion for Ethan.…
This is the second book in Lauren Hawkeye's Erotic Me series and it picks up on the same night as Take Me Down. Barbara and Ethan are staying in Evie's apartment after a wedding. I love the sexual tension that builds so quickly between Barbara and Ethan.
The background of this couple was an endearing one. They start out as reluctant acquaintances due to Ethan's friendship with Barbara's brother. Because they have known each other for so long, they know more about each other than they care to admit, which slowly builds a foundation of trust. The short glimpse into Barbara's past made me want to know more, and the fact that Ethan knows and is sympathetic made me love him.
The slow seduction of Barbara was slow, sweet and tender. Each time Barbara felt like Ethan was mocking her, he made it very clear that he was serious and sincere about every word he speaks.
I loved this story. It was romantic, erotic and I can't wait to read the next in this series!
This book was steamy hot as Ethan
broke burned down Barbara's walls!
